Lead Pastor - Rey Martinez and Wife Nelly

Thanks to the influence of his grandmother and parents, Rey accepted Christ at the age of thirteen. As a Mexican-American native Texan, Rey grew up experiencing the cultures and languages of his Mexican heritage and his Americanized upbringing. He secured his Bachelor’s degree in Human Communication from Abilene Christian University while also serving in the United States Marine Corp Reserve.
In Feb, 2001 Pastor Rey turned down a promotional opportunity and resigned from his middle management position as a Risk Manager to serve as Lead Pastor of Waves of Faith. His Puerto Rican wife Nelly also left her store management position to serve and support at Rey's side.
Rey is actively involved in several Christian organizations in Fort Worth and Tarrant County, is an instructor for Servant’s Edge, and is frequently asked to speak and teach at conferences and seminars.
